
Udaipur: The student injured in a stabbing incident on Monday passed away. The deceased was given the final rites today amidst tight security. The child was cremated by his father and cousin. During the funeral, people also raised slogans. Earlier, at 4:30 am, the child’s body was handed over to the family.
Around 7 am, the funeral procession was taken out from the deceased’s house. A large number of people were present. Udaipur Range IG Ajaypal Lamba and other senior administrative officials were also present in the funeral procession. The funeral was monitored by drones. A large number of police forces were deployed along the entire route of the procession. Net ban will continue in Udaipur city today. Schools and colleges will also remain closed. Social leaders have appealed to everyone to maintain peace.
Until Monday night, talks were going on between the administration and the family members regarding the last rites of the student. After agreeing on three demands, the family members agreed to the last rites. These include financial assistance of 51 lakh rupees, a job on contract for 1 member of the family and action in the SC-ST Act case. In fact, the student who was injured in a stabbing incident in Udaipur four days ago (August 16) died on Monday afternoon.
