In response to the recent travel updates for passengers from India to the UAE, several Indian airlines have issued a set of guidelines for their passengers.
This advisory has been issued by the airline to travel agents in India and the UAE and states: “Passengers should carry required documents when traveling from Indian cities to the UAE.”
An Air India Express spokesperson confirmed to Gulf Times that the airline had advised passengers to carry valid passports, return tickets, accommodation details and financial documents.

The advisory states that travelers from India should ensure that their passports are valid for at least six months from the date of arrival.
Visitors must bring a confirmed return ticket, proof of a confirmed hotel reservation, 3,000 dirhams (approximately Rs. 68,000) for a one-month visa, 5,000 dirhams for long-term stays and additional documents for relatives. or a friend residing in the United Arab Emirates,” the statement said.
Travel agents based in India and Dubai told the Gulf Times that they had received advice from many airlines operating between the two countries.
“We have received such support from SpiceJet, Air India and other airlines to help travelers get all the necessary documents and funds to facilitate their journey,” said Taha Siddique, owner, Siddique Travels. He said.
According to a circular shared by SpiceJet to agents, the airline has warned passengers to carry all documents otherwise “failure to do so may result in deportation.”
This advisory also states: Passengers without the required documents will not be allowed to board our flights at the departure airport and all associated costs will be deducted by the ticket company.
“If a customer is refused entry at Emirates Airport, we will have to cover the cost of the return journey. Therefore, before booking the ticket, we ensure that we have all the relevant documents,” said Siddique.
Travel agents say travelers are aware of the situation and have all necessary documents with them.
