The TinyPod is the latest entry into the world of gadget-centric accessories for Apple devices, offering not only additional functionality but also something unique. A new Apple Watch accessory called TinyPod aims to turn the Apple Watch into a hybrid iPod device with a scroll wheel. There’s also a simpler version called TinyPod Lite that doesn’t have a physical scroll wheel.
Apple Watch TinyPod case price
TinPod comes in two versions: Standard and Lite. The standard TinyPod costs $79.99 (roughly Rs. 6,700) in the US for the 40/41mm versions of the Apple Watch and 44/45mm, while the Apple Watch Ultra compatible case costs $89.99 ( approx. 7,600 Rs.) costs.
The TinyPod Lite, on the other hand, is significantly cheaper, but does not have a scroll wheel. For the Apple Watch 40/41mm, the TinyPod Lite costs $29.99 (approximately Rs. 2,500). The Apple Watch Ultra case costs $39.99 (approximately Rs. 3,300).
The company says all versions of the TinyPod Lite and the 40.41mm version of the TinyPod will be available this summer, with additional versions expected later this year. It is currently available in select countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the UK and the US. However, it is not yet launched in India.
Features of the Apple Watch TinyPod Case
TinyPod features a physical scroll wheel that allows users to navigate the operating system (OS) using the Apple Watch’s rotating crown. Since it’s just an Apple Watch case, all the features are packed into an iPod Classic-like device. This is also known as a “phone-to-phone move.”
According to the company, TinyPod helps users curb their phone and social media habits by allowing them to leave their smartphones at home and instead carry their Apple Watch with them in the TinyPod case. Mobile versions of smartwatches allow users to make calls, respond to text messages, and more without the need for a phone.
All Apple Watch features remain, including Apple Pay and Name Drop. In addition, the smartwatch can be charged using Apple’s original magnetic charging cable. TinyPod says its case can boost the performance of your Apple Watch because it doesn’t use wrist detection.
For those who don’t like the scroll wheel, the TinyPod Lite is a simpler option that comes at a much cheaper price. It has all the features of the more expensive TinyPod cases, but without the physical scroll wheel.
