Western Disturbance to Bring Weather Changes

The IMD has indicated that a Western Disturbance is set to become active from Monday, with another system likely to develop on February 8. These weather systems could bring increased cloud cover across parts of the state in the first week of February, followed by rainfall in multiple regions between February 12 and 14. Post-February 20, temperatures are expected to rise further, marking the gradual retreat of winter.

Temperature Fluctuations Across the State

On Sunday, cloudy conditions prevailed in some parts of the Gwalior-Chambal region, leading to a decline in daytime temperatures. Gwalior recorded a drop of 1.9°C, settling at 27.4°C, while Dhar saw a decrease of 2.4°C, bringing the temperature down to 26.7°C. Similar temperature dips were reported in Betul, Guna, Khandwa, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Damoh, Jabalpur, Nowgong, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi, Tikamgarh, Umaria, and Malajkhand.

Night temperatures also witnessed a slight decline across several cities. On Monday, light to moderate fog is anticipated in Mandsaur, Shivpuri, Datia, and Bhind, while dense fog may develop in patches over Neemuch, Gwalior, Morena, and Sheopur. On February 4, minor temperature drops are expected across the state, although daytime conditions will remain sunny.

With shifting weather patterns and an approaching Western Disturbance, Madhya Pradesh residents should brace for a mix of fog, cooler days ahead, and an impending spell of rain next week.
