
Udaipur : The Udaipur police arrested the original candidate and broker for the dummy candidate case in the third-grade teacher recruitment exam held on February 26 at the Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya Institute, Sector 4, HiranMagri police station area. Both were produced in court, where they were remanded in custody for four days. During interrogation, it was revealed that the teacher had transferred Rs 8.5 lakh from his bank account to the gang leader online after taking money from the original candidate.
The police said that on receiving information about a fake candidate sitting at the center, the team reached the center and caught KishnaRam Bishnoi, a resident of Sevdi, Baghoda district, Jalore, sitting in place of Sanjay Pargi, a resident of Kali Magri Baswari post Dhimiri, Tehsil Jhaloda. He said that he had sat as a dummy candidate in place of Sanjay Pargi with the help of his associates Suresh Bishnoi and Shravan.
After that, the accused KishnaRam was arrested. The police said that a question booklet, a carbon copy of the examinee’s OMR sheet, an e-admission ticket, and a ballpoint pen were found in the possession of the accused KishnaRam. The photo on the Aadhaar card is of himself and the details are of the original examinee Sanjay Pargi. During the checking by the supervisor in the examination hall, the supervisor also got a promissory note filled by KishnaRam due to the mismatch of the photo in the admission ticket and Aadhaar card.
The main accused Suresh Bishnoi had arranged a meeting between the dummy candidate KishnaRam and the original candidate Sanjay Pargi and had negotiated a deal for Rs 5 lakh.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Women’s Crime and Research Cell, Manjeet Singh, said that the original candidate Sanjay Pargi, a resident of Baswari, Fala Kali Magri, Jhaloda, and the broker, government teacher Banshilal Ahari, a resident of Ahari Fala Wadda, Tehsil Jhaloda, currently near Kabootar Khana Gali, Bus Stand, Dhariyavad, were arrested. Three accused have already been caught in the case.
