Kolkata, 2 September (Kiran News) – The month of September has ushered in a festive season of holidays for government employees across West Bengal. With major festivals lined up from the beginning to the end of the month, employees can look forward to a series of long breaks.

On 3rd September, all government offices, institutions, municipalities, and government-aided organisations will remain closed on account of Karam Puja. This will be followed by a holiday on 5th September for Fateha-Dwaz-Daham. Regular weekend holidays will fall on 6th and 7th September, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Towards the end of the month, the much-awaited Durga Puja holidays will begin from 26th September and continue until 7th October. Including the weekends, government employees will enjoy a total of 12 days of leave during this period. Additionally, offices will remain closed for Kali Puja, Bhai Phonta, and Chhath Puja towards the end of October.
In this way, September and October are set to bring a bonanza of consecutive holidays for government employees in the state.
