According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be released soon. The South Korean tech giant may soon release a “Fan Edition” (FE) version of its Galaxy Watch smartwatch that runs on Google’s Wear OS platform. It is expected to be available at a lower price than the company’s latest smartwatch models and will have similar specifications to the older Galaxy Watch model. The Galaxy Watch FE will be released before July, when Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 series.

Android Headlines discovered three Galaxy Watch FE model numbers in its IMEI database. The model number SM-R866F is said to refer to the global model, while the model numbers SM-R866U and SM-R866N refer to the US and South Korean markets, respectively. According to the publication, the Galaxy Watch FE will be launched at a “budget price”.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 released in August 2021 has the model number SM-R860F, which is the same as the Galaxy Watch FE. This suggests that this could be an affordable smartwatch with Wear OS and an Exynos W920 chip.
Details about the Galaxy Watch FE, including specifications and price, have yet to surface online. The smartwatch will debut as Samsung’s cheapest Wear OS wearable and will boast the design of the Galaxy Watch 4. The Apple Watch SE models follow a similar strategy, offering fewer features at a lower price.
There is no information from Samsung about the release of a new Galaxy Watch FE model, but it is expected that the company will launch the device on the market in the coming weeks (if there is one). According to previous reports, the South Korean company plans to launch three Galaxy Watch 7 models, the next generation of smartwatches, and the next generation of foldable phones, which are rumored to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event next July.
