Sagar Mal Murder Case: Three Accused Sent to Judicial Custody, Car Seized

Udaipur, August 6: The three accused arrested in connection with the murder of Sagar Mal in Udaipur’s Pratap Nagar area have been sent to judicial custody after completion of police remand. Police also seized the car allegedly used during the incident as part of the investigation.

According to police, the incident took place on the evening of July 28 in Ostwal Nagar, Sundarwas, where a dispute had been ongoing over leaving the mandatory setback during the construction of a house by Kailash Kunwar, wife of Kalu Singh Rao, behind the residence of Sagar Mal, son of Chhaganlal Mehta, a resident of Jain Mohalla, Kheroda, currently residing in Ostwal Nagar, Sundarwas.

The dispute allegedly turned violent, resulting in the death of Sagar Mal.

Car Seized During Investigation

During the remand period, police seized the car allegedly used in the incident. The investigation also included an examination of the call detail records (CDR) of the mobile numbers linked to the accused.

After completing the investigation, police produced the three accused before the court on Wednesday.

Accused Sent to Jail

The accused have been identified as Praveen Singh Asoliya, son of Bheru Singh Asoliya, a resident of Ostwal Nagar, Sundarwas; Krishnaraj Singh alias Anurag, son of Narendra Singh Rao, a resident of Asoliya Ki Madri, Mavli; and Mahesh Pratap, son of Govardhan Singh Rao, originally from Bhatiyon Ka Mohalla, Piparda, Rajnagar, and currently residing at Anand Vihar, Cotton Mill Road, Pratap Nagar.
