Gautam Buddh Nagar, October 28 (Udaipur Kiran): A 70-year-old retired engineer living in Greater Noida West has allegedly been duped of ₹1.30 crore by unidentified cyber fraudsters who lured him into investing in the share market through a fake trading platform.

According to police, the victim, Dayadas, son of Rambabu and a resident of Mahagun Mantra-2, filed a complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station on Monday. The case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
How the Fraud Happened
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime) Shaivya Goyal said that on August 18, the victim received a message from individuals claiming to represent a company named CHCP Global Securities, purportedly based in the United States. The fraudsters contacted him through WhatsApp, convincing him to join their share trading network.
Initially, the victim invested small amounts and saw his funds multiply on a fake online portal, which built his confidence. Gradually, between August 20 and October 18, he transferred a total of ₹1.30 crore into multiple bank accounts as instructed by the accused.
However, when he later tried to withdraw his money, the fraudsters began pressuring him to deposit more funds. Upon his refusal, they removed him from the online group, and all communication was cut off.
Police Investigation Underway
Police said they are tracing the bank accounts where the money was transferred and have initiated steps to freeze the fraudulent accounts. The cybercrime team is also working to identify the individuals involved in the scam.
