
Realme 12 Pro 5G series to launch in India soon. In a post on X, Realme has confirmed the arrival of the new Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G smartphones in India. The Chinese smartphone brand notes that the new product range also includes a periscope camera. The periscope sensor provides better image sharpness at higher zoom levels. Over the past few weeks, specifications of the Realme 12 Pro 5G series have been leaked on various listings on certification sites. The Realme 12 Pro 5G series is expected to be the successor to the Realme 11 Pro 5G series launched in the country last June.
In the X teaser, Realme announced that the Realme 12 Pro 5G series will launch in India in January. The message does not mention the exact release date of the smartphones but asks users to guess the release date for a chance to win new smartphones. The video shows the back of the device with the ring-shaped camera module. The periscope is said to have a telephoto lens.
Realme also launched a landing page on its Indian website to announce the launch of Realme 12 Pro 5G phones. The phone’s periscope telephoto lens is highlighted on its side. This includes the “Beyond 200M” tagline, which talks about the 200MP cameras of the Redmi Note 13 Pro series. Interested customers can find out about the latest news about the launch by clicking the Notification button on the website.
The Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G recently appeared on the TENAA website with model numbers RMX3843 and RMX3841, respectively. The former is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. They are reportedly equipped with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera and a 5,000mAh battery. The Realme 12 Pro+ 5G is rumored to come with a 64-megapixel Omnivision OV64B 3X periscope telephoto lens. The upcoming series will be available in India through Flipkart.
Realme 12 Pro+ and Realme 12 Pro have improved specifications compared to Realme 11 Pro+ and Realme 11 Pro. They were launched in India last June at a starting price of Rs. 23,999.
