The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for cold wave conditions in five districts for 18 November. Officials said the weather will remain completely dry for the next five days, with little chance of relief from the cold.

In the last 24 hours, Fatehpur in Sikar district recorded the lowest temperature at 4.9°C. Sikar, Fatehpur, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Ajmer, Tonk and Kota experienced the strongest cold wave impact. Early morning temperatures forced residents to step out wearing multiple layers of clothing.

Other cities also saw considerable drops in minimum temperature. Kota recorded 10.6°C, Sikar 5.5°C, Nagaur 5.6°C, Baran 7.7°C and Ajmer 9.8°C. Temperatures in Chittorgarh, Alwar, Udaipur and Jaipur also remained below normal, keeping the cold noticeable throughout the day.

The effect of winter was visible on daytime temperatures as well. Except for Bikaner, Jodhpur, Barmer and Phalodi, nearly all districts recorded maximum temperatures below 30°C. Karauli and Pratapgarh hovered around 26°C, while Jaipur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer saw temperatures between 28°C and 29°C. Barmer recorded the highest temperature in the state at 32.2°C.

The department predicts that cold conditions will persist, with night temperatures expected to fall further in the coming days due to wind direction and speed.
