Jaipur, December 3 (Udaipur Kiran): The Rajasthan High Court has imposed an interim stay on the Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025 examination scheduled to begin on December 7. The court directed the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) to first release the detailed syllabus and conduct the examination only after 30 days from its issue.

Justice Ashok Kumar Jain’s single bench passed this order on a petition filed by Yaduraj and others. In its order, the court observed that it is surprising that despite allegations of paper leaks and large-scale irregularities in several recent examinations conducted by the RPSC, the commission is still continuing with a non-transparent system.
During the hearing, RPSC Secretary Ramniwas Mehta appeared before the court in compliance with its directions. He stated that the updated syllabus was uploaded on October 8, but its official release date was shown as March 26, 2025.
Petitioner’s counsel Rampratap Saini informed the court that RPSC had issued a recruitment notification for Assistant Professor posts in December 2024, for which the syllabus was released in March. Later, the government amended the rules by introducing a minimum 40 percent marks criterion and cancelled the December recruitment. It was further stated that the commission issued a fresh recruitment notification on September 18 and assured that the syllabus would be released on time. However, the updated syllabus has still not been officially released, even though the examination is scheduled to start from December 7. The petition said that candidates cannot prepare for the examination in such a short time and sought postponement of the exam along with release of the syllabus.
On behalf of RPSC, advocate M.F. Beg submitted that the syllabus was issued after the December 2024 recruitment and the same syllabus has been retained in the new recruitment. He said that after the new recruitment notification, the old syllabus was uploaded again so that candidates do not face any confusion, and therefore the old release date has been shown.
