Jaipur, September 25 (Udaipur Kiran): Monsoon makes way for heatwave; districts start preparing for autumn. Almost half of the state is out of monsoon’s clutch. The monsoon that has withdrawn from Jaisalmer, parts of Barmer and Jodhpur districts has further receded from Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Churu, Jalore, Pali and parts of Sirohi. Temperatures in Bikaner and Jaisalmer touched 41 degrees on Tuesday.

Rain Forecast
There are chances of scattered rain in the eastern and southern regions of Rajasthan from September 26, which may continue till September 29. The monsoon may withdraw itself from the eastern parts of the state also after that. Rainfall Alert has been sounded in the districts of 11 on September 26.
Unseasonal Heat
A rare phenomenon is experienced during the month of Ashwin, when the state is witnessing summer-like heat in its march towards concluding the traditionally sweet summer. The two factors, high humidity and intense sunshine, led to temperatures bordering on discomforting. Nights, too, are growing warmer.
Eastern Rajasthan Weather
The monsoon may retreat in October. Still, since a low-pressure area is building over the Bay of Bengal, there has been an issuance of a rain alert over seven divisions of the state. Light to moderate rain associated with thunderstorms has been predicted in parts of Kota and Udaipur divisions from September 25 to 30.
Temperature Readings
Principal clear statewide weather was observed in Rajasthan within the last 24 hours. Isolated places in Banswara and Pratapgarh district parts experienced light rain/thundershower activity. Banswara Ghatol area has recorded 9 mm of rainfall. Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, and several other districts reported clear sky with high humidity. Jaipur maximum temperature risen to 36 degree Celsius.
Western Rajasthan : With western districts catching up with the retreating monsoon, western districts have been in for a temperature hike. Bikaner recorded a high of 40.3 degrees Celsius, while Jaisalmer recorded a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Other cities like Phalodi, Ganganagar, Barmer, Jodhpur, Dholpur, Jalore, Karauli, Churu, Sikar, Kota, Chittorgarh, Ajmer and Baran reported temperatures between 36 and 37 degrees Celsius.
