KHAIRTHAL-TIJARA, June 4, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested Asha Devi, Patwari of Santhalka Patwar Circle in Tapukara tehsil of Khairthal-Tijara district, while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹5,000 from a complainant.
The action was carried out by the ACB Alwar-I unit under the directions of the ACB Headquarters.
According to the complaint submitted to the ACB Alwar unit, Asha Devi had allegedly been demanding a bribe of ₹30,000 for opening a mutation (intkal) in the names of the complainant and family members following the death of the complainant’s father, and for correcting the father’s name in the revenue records.
During verification conducted by the ACB on May 25, 2026, it was found that the accused had allegedly accepted ₹10,000 from the complainant and was further demanding ₹5,000 as bribe.
Following the verification, a trap operation was conducted under the supervision of Anti-Corruption Bureau Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr. Rameshwar Singh. The operation was led by ACB Alwar-I unit in-charge and Deputy Superintendent of Police Shabbir Khan.
During the trap, Asha Devi was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting ₹5,000 from the complainant. The bribe amount was recovered from her bag.
Questioning of the accused and further legal proceedings are underway.
The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and will conduct further investigation into the matter.
