Hanumangarh Patwari Caught Accepting ₹15,000 Bribe in ACB Trap

HANUMANGARH, June 4, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested Shri Ram, Revenue Patwari of Patwar Mandal Chahuwali in Tibbi tehsil of Hanumangarh district, while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹15,000.

The action was carried out by the ACB Hanumangarh unit under the directions of the ACB Headquarters.

According to ACB Director General of Police Govind Gupta, a complaint was received alleging that Shri Ram had demanded a bribe of ₹30,000 from the complainant for entering a mutation (intkal) in the name of the complainant’s father.

Following the complaint, a trap operation was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Narayan Togas. Additional Superintendent of Police Sudha Palawat of the ACB Hanumangarh unit led the operation.

During the trap, the accused patwari was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe amount of ₹15,000.

Further questioning and investigation are being conducted under the supervision of ACB Inspector General of Police S. Parimala.

The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and will carry out further investigation in the matter.
