Rajasthan Day Celebrations Begin: Week-Long Festivities to Showcase Governance, Development, and Cultural Heritage

The Government of Rajasthan has announced a grand, seven-day celebration from March 25 to 31, culminating on Rajasthan Day (March 30, 2025 – Chaitra Shukla Pratipada). The week will feature statewide events, policy launches, welfare schemes, and cultural programs, reflecting the vision of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to uplift farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission of good governance.

Rajasthan Day Celebrations to Begin from Barmer with Major Women-Centric Initiatives

The festival begins today in Barmer with a Women’s Empowerment Conference, where the state will initiate several key programs:

  • ₹7.5 crore DBT under Lado Protsahan Yojana

  • ₹100 crore CIF transfers to women SHGs

  • Distribution of Induction Cooktops to 3,000 women

  • 5,000 meritorious girls to receive scooters under Kalibai Bheel Yojana

  • ₹13.16 crore to be transferred under Mukhyamantri Hamari Betiyan Yojana for 31,790 girls

  • LPG subsidy of ₹200 crore to 1.10 crore women-led households

  • Launch of new guidelines for Take-Home Ration, Solar Didi, Utensil Bank, and Competitive Exam Libraries in 36 women’s colleges

Government buildings across all districts will be illuminated, temples will hold special aarti ceremonies, and security arrangements have been intensified across the state.

Thematic Events Across Cities Highlight Development and Welfare

Throughout the week, each day will host events in different cities focusing on governance, rural development, empowerment, and employment:

March 26 – Bikaner (Kisan Sammelan):

  • ₹137 crore grants to 30,000 farmers

  • FPO Expo inauguration

  • Policy rollouts for Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana, PM Kisan Nidhi hike, and Thar Border Development Plan

March 27 – Bharatpur (Antyodaya Kalyan Samaroh):

  • Flag-off of 100 police vehicles

  • Distribution of assistive devices and power-driven wheelchairs

  • ₹100 crore transferred to 91,000 construction workers

  • Launch of E-Work Portal & App, Swamitva Patta Distribution, and Dairy Booth Allotment

  • New schemes: Panch Gaurav Booklet, Dadu Dayal Nomadic Empowerment, Free Electricity for 150 Units, and Eye Care Vouchers

March 28 – Bhilwara (Vikas & Good Governance Utsav):

  • Launch of Rajasthan Circular Economy Incentive Scheme, Annapurna Stores, and Green Aravalli Development Plan

  • Inauguration of ₹2,088 crore projects and laying foundation stones for works worth ₹3,317 crore

  • Launch of Rajasthan Sampark 2.0 Portal, Medical App, and simplification of fire NOC procedures

March 29 – Jaipur & Kota (Youth & Employment Festival):

  • Run for Fit Rajasthan at Amar Jawan Jyoti

  • Distribution of 7,000 appointment letters

  • Skill & Youth Policy launches, Private Job Support Scheme, Dronacharya Award Land Allocation, and Drug De-addiction Centres

Cultural Finale and Economic Milestones on Rajasthan Day

On March 30, cultural events will be hosted in every district, with Jaipur’s Albert Hall showcasing traditional performances, including Manganiyar music, Kathak, and folk fusion dances by children.

The grand finale on March 31 – Rising Rajasthan in Jaipur will feature the groundbreaking of ₹3 lakh crore worth of investment projects, along with the launch of key industrial policies covering logistics, data centers, and textiles.
