Prism Johnson advances on acquiring stake in Silica Ceramica

Prism Johnson is currently trading at Rs. 77.95, up by 0.55 points or 0.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 77.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 76.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 78.45 and Rs. 76.20 respectively. So far 2028 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 104.00 on 12-Mar-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 62.45 on 04-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 80.00 and Rs. 76.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3860.74 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.87%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.51% and 13.62% respectively.

Prism Johnson has acquired 62,500 equity shares representing 0.07% in the total paid-up equity share capital of Silica Ceramica, a subsidiary of the Company. The balance 8,65,45,783 equity shares representing 99.93% of the total paid up equity share capital of Silica, are already held by the company. Consequent to aforesaid acquisition, Silica has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company effective October 9, 2019.

Prism Johnson (formally known as Prism Cement) is a building materials company. The company has interest in Portland cement, tiles, bathroom and kitchen (TBK) and ready mixed concrete (RMC).
