Puducherry, April 13 : Chief Minister N Rangaswamy on Wednesday greeted the people on the occasion of Tamil New Year on Thursday. In a message, the Chief Minister said Tamils and Tamil language are there all over the world now. It is the duty of the Tamils to protect the root of their culture and heritage wherever they are, he said. Rangaswamy said such celebrations only will help the younger generation to understand the traditional Tamil cultural features. ”May the New year bring peace, happiness, prosperity into the households of every Tamil across the globe, he added.
