Mumbai, May 15: Actor Aamir Khan recently took fans on a nostalgic journey as he was spotted singing the famous song “Papa Kehte Hain” from his hit film “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” at the birthday celebration of filmmaker and social activist Ashok Pandit.
A video shared by Ashok on his social media account shows Aamir holding the microphone and serenading the guests with the evergreen tune. The superstar looked quite smart in a casual checkered shirt paired with black-framed glasses.
In the caption accompanying the video, Ashok expressed his gratitude, stating, “That night when everyone was singing, it felt like time stood still… and in that moment, surrounded by their voices, smiles, and presence, the night felt more like a celebration of togetherness than just a birthday party. I sincerely thank everyone present for bringing joy into my life and making my day special.”
“Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak,” released on April 29, 1988, starred Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla in lead roles. Directed by Mansoor Khan and produced by Nasir Hussain, this romantic drama revolves around lovers from rival families.
The film’s songs, including “Papa Kehte Hain,” “Gajab Ka Hai Din,” and “Akele Hain To Kya Gham Hai,” became blockbuster hits, catapulting both Aamir and Juhi to stardom overnight.
On the work front, Aamir was last seen in “Taare Zameen Par,” which also featured Genelia D’Souza.
