New Delhi, June 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed gratitude to various world leaders for their congratulatory messages following his achievement of becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India. This milestone marks his 12 years in office, surpassing the previous record held by Jawaharlal Nehru.
Leaders from around the globe have praised PM Modi’s leadership capabilities, highlighting the public’s continued trust in him as a testament to his work.
In a message on the social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi thanked Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, stating, “Thank you for your wishes, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. I look forward to working together to strengthen our comprehensive strategic partnership and elevate India-Singapore relations to new heights.”
He also expressed gratitude to Guyana’s President Irfan Ali, saying, “Thank you for your kind words and wishes, President Dr. Irfan Ali. I hope to continue our cooperation for the benefit of the people of India and Guyana.”
Former U.S. President Donald Trump received thanks from PM Modi as well, who mentioned, “I look forward to working with you to advance the India-U.S. comprehensive global strategic partnership for the benefit of our countries and the world.”
In response to a video shared by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, PM Modi wrote, “Thank you for your wishes, my friend. I completely agree with you. The friendship between India and Israel will strengthen in the coming years.”
PM Modi also acknowledged German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s post, expressing commitment to further strengthening the India-Germany strategic partnership.
He thanked Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, stating, “I hope to continue the momentum in our special strategic partnership between India and Italy, benefiting both our nations and peoples.”
Expressing appreciation for Bhutan’s Prime Minister Shering Tobgay, he said, “I value our friendship greatly and appreciate the special relationship between India and Bhutan.”
Additionally, PM Modi thanked several other world leaders, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening India’s bilateral relations.
On June 10, PM Modi officially became India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, breaking Nehru’s record of 4,399 consecutive days in office. While Indira Gandhi served for over 14 years, her tenure was not continuous, making this record unique to Modi.
