According to the department, wind speeds may reach 40–60 km per hour, accompanied by intense rain and thunder. Officials have cautioned that continuous heavy rainfall in Nepal could raise the water levels of key rivers flowing through the district — Kamla, Bagmati, Adhwara group, Khiraoi, and Kosi — increasing the risk of waterlogging and flash floods in low-lying areas.

The district administration has urged residents to remain alert and indoors unless necessary. People are advised to stay away from rivers, ponds, and embankments, ensure the safety of children and livestock, and avoid working in open fields during rain or lightning strikes.

Authorities emphasized that awareness and preparedness are essential to minimize disaster risks and ensure community safety.
