Ola Electric Bike to Launch in India

The Ola electric bike will be launched in India at the annual event ‘Sankalp 2024’ to be held on August 15 at FutureFactory in Tamil Nadu. The electric two-wheeler (EV) will be the first bike from the Bavish Agarwal-led company. This car joins the Ola S1X, S1 Air and S1 Pro two-wheelers in the Indian market. What is less known is that Ola has been teasing various design elements of the bike in social media posts.

Ola electric bike launch date in India

Ola Electric has confirmed that its next bike will be launched on August 15. However, it is not clear whether it will be released this year. In July, Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal said the company would start selling electric bikes in the “first six months” of 2025.

Once launched, it is expected to compete with other e-bikes in the Indian market. Depending on price, it can compete with entry-level motorcycles like the Tork Kratos R and Revolt RV400 or high-performance electric vehicles like the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and the Matter Aera.

Ola Electric Bike Features (Expected)

According to the teaser, one post has a horizontal LED strip on the top and two vertical strips on the sides. Although not official, it is speculated that these act as beacons. However, a blurry image of the bike shared by Agarwal a few days ago showed slim KTM-style indicators at the front and rear.

Images on social media also show that it will feature a traditional right telescopic fork suspension. Development snaps shared by the CEO in recent weeks also show a chain final drive and a large battery surrounded by a tubular frame.

It was also confirmed that the electric bike will be powered by an internal battery developed at Ola’s factory.
