
Jaipur, August 10 (Udaipur Kiran) – In Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, a Nepali servant couple drugged a father and son with spiked coffee and fled with jewelry and cash worth lakhs of rupees. The incident came to light when the woman of the house returned from the temple. She immediately informed the police. The police arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and began an investigation. The father and son are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital.
Station Officer Ravindra Singh reported that Krishna Kumar, a resident of Gom Defense Colony, and his son Rohit were offered coffee by their servant on Friday evening. After drinking the coffee, both became unconscious. The Nepali servant couple then broke into the bedroom’s closet and stole the jewelry and cash stored inside. The incident was discovered when Krishna Kumar’s wife returned from the temple. She informed the police, who then started searching for the servant couple.
Servants Were Hired Just 10 Days Ago
Officer Singh further revealed that Krishna Kumar is a retired Income Tax Department employee, and his son works in the private sector. The incident occurred around 7 PM on Friday. At the time, Krishna Kumar’s wife had gone to the temple. Krishna Kumar asked the servant couple to bring coffee. After drinking the coffee together, both he and his son lost consciousness. The servant couple then searched the house thoroughly and took the jewelry and cash from the bedroom closet. The exact amount of stolen items is still being determined. Krishna Kumar and his son are currently under treatment at a private hospital. The investigation revealed that the servant couple was hired only 5 to 10 days ago, and their verification was not done. The servant identified himself as Subhash and his wife as Bhavna. The police received the report around 8:30 PM.
Police Reviewing CCTV Footage
Officer Singh mentioned that the police have obtained CCTV footage from the crime scene and nearby areas. The servant couple can be seen in the footage. More than half a dozen teams have been deployed to track them down. A citywide alert has been issued, but the servant couple is still at large. The police are hopeful of apprehending them soon.
