The Motorola Razr and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will be announced soon, and the company’s next foldable phones have appeared online in press releases leaked by Evan Blass (X: @evleaks).
he latest images suggest that Razer’s standard model will feature a bezel-less display that is significantly larger than the outer display of its predecessor, the Motorola Razr 40. This publication also revealed the Razr 50’s specifications ahead of its launch.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Blass shared images of the Motorola Razr and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. An earlier render shows the terminal with a much larger bezel display (supposedly a 3.3-inch curved POLED display) than last year’s Razr 40, which featured a 1.5-inch external display. These specifications were revealed by Deal N Tech just before images of the phone were leaked on the microblogging platform.
The Motorola Razr 50 also features a dual camera setup. Inside we see a large 6.9-inch POLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole selfie camera. The publication states that the Razr 50 comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chip, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
According to reports, the company will equip the Motorola Razr 50 with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel secondary camera. The device is said to come with Android 14 and a 4200 mAh battery out of the box. This report also states that the dimensions of this phone are 171 x 74 x 7.2 mm and its weight is 188 grams.
Meanwhile, leaked images of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra show a foldable phone with a slightly larger external display than the standard Razr 50 model. It also comes in 3 colors. According to previous reports, the Razr 50 Ultra will also come with a 6.9-inch internal POLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
According to reports, the Razr 40 Ultra successor will be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The foldable phone is said to have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera on the outer screen and a 32-megapixel selfie camera in a hole-punch on the inner screen.
In contrast to the standard model Razr 50, the upcoming Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is said to have a slightly smaller 4,000 mAh battery. It also has a waterproof rating that is IPX8.
Motorola launched the Razr 40 series globally in June 2023 and the phones arrived in India a month later. We therefore expect to see these phones in the coming days and weeks ahead of their expected launch.
