Block CMO Dr. Saket Jain, based on preliminary investigations, believes food poisoning is to blame. All the patients are receiving medical attention.

The incident occurred during a social program organized by the Chaubisa Samaaj at 6 pm. The ‘Sama’ program catered specifically to those observing the Ekadashi fast. Roughly 1500 people attended the event and were served khichdi and pakodas.

Shortly after consuming the meal, people began experiencing nausea and vomiting. Family members rushed the sick to the hospital, and the number of patients steadily grew throughout the evening. The rise in numbers alerted the medical department.

One woman’s condition is critical, and she has been transferred to Udaipur’s government MB Hospital. The remaining patients at the Bhindar sub-district hospital are receiving intravenous fluids (drips) as part of their treatment.
