Microsoft Expands Copilot+ Features to AMD Intel and Snapdragon

Live Captions, Cocreator, and More Now Available Across a Wider Range of PCs

Microsoft is broadening the reach of its Copilot+ PC features, rolling out advanced AI tools such as Live Captions, Cocreator, Restyle Image, and Image Creator to devices powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series, Intel Core Ultra 200V, and Snapdragon X Series processors. This strategic expansion aims to enhance creativity, accessibility, and productivity across a broader user base.

Microsoft Copilot+ PC

Previously exclusive to Snapdragon-powered PCs, these powerful features are now coming to AMD and Intel platforms, bringing cutting-edge AI-driven experiences to millions of additional users.

Enhanced Accessibility with Live Captions and Voice Access

Live Captions are now accessible on AMD- and Intel-powered Copilot+ PCs, providing real-time English captions for audio and video content — a significant boost for meetings, podcasts, and video consumption. Microsoft plans to add support for Simplified Chinese captions soon, further enhancing accessibility across global markets.

Voice Access, initially available only on Snapdragon X Series devices, allows users to operate their PCs through natural language commands. Powered by the device’s Neural Processing Unit (NPU), this feature delivers seamless voice interaction and is expected to arrive on AMD and Intel PCs later this year.

AI Creative Tools Now on More PCs

Microsoft is also expanding its AI-powered creative tools to AMD and Intel devices:

  • Cocreator in Paint: Enables users to blend text prompts with freehand drawings to create detailed digital artwork, transforming Paint into a dynamic creative suite.

  • Restyle Image and Image Creator in Photos App: Allows users to transform photos into artistic visuals and generate new images based on text descriptions — perfect for personal, educational, or marketing use.

These tools make AI creativity accessible not just to design professionals but also to everyday users looking to enhance their creative projects.

How to Access the New Features

To access these Copilot+ features, users should update their Microsoft Paint and Photos apps via the Microsoft Store. These updates are part of the March 2025 Windows non-security preview update and will roll out progressively via Windows’ controlled feature rollout (CFR) system.

For early access, users can enable “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” under Settings > Windows Update.

Availability may vary based on device model and region. For full rollout timelines and detailed feature availability, users are encouraged to visit aka.ms/copilotpluspcs.
