Massive Protest Against Sane Takaiichis Policies in Japan

Beijing, July 11: A significant protest took place in front of the National Diet Building in Tokyo on the evening of July 10, where approximately 1.4 lakh Japanese citizens voiced their opposition to several dangerous policies recently enacted by the Sane Takaiichi government.

According to organizers, around 27,000 people gathered at the protest site, while an additional 1.1 lakh participated online. Demonstrators lined the sidewalks for several kilometers around the National Diet Building, chanting slogans such as “No more of Sane Takaiichi’s tyranny” and “Japan must permanently renounce the use of force.” They collectively recited Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution, opposing the government’s disregard for public opinion and the implementation of policies deemed to pose a threat of war.

Notably, since the House of Representatives elections in February, the ruling party has leveraged its majority in the chamber to push forward laws, such as the establishment of the National Intelligence Council, while ignoring opposition from various sectors of society.
