Mumbai, October 20 (Udaipur Kiran): The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a 40-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Suleman Razzak Kujra, for allegedly killing his 14-year-old daughter and seriously injuring his wife during a domestic dispute in the Santacruz-Kalina area of Mumbai.

According to police, the incident took place during a heated argument at the accused’s residence. In a fit of rage, Suleman brutally assaulted his daughter, leading to her death, and then attacked his wife Nasima Suleman Kujra with a sharp knife, leaving her critically injured. She is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Following the attack, the accused fled from the scene. A case was registered at Vakola Police Station under sections 103(1), 109(1), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and multiple teams were formed to trace him.
Senior Mumbai Police officials took the matter seriously, directing the Crime Branch to conduct a parallel investigation. After several days of technical surveillance and ground-level intelligence gathering, the accused was traced to Bihar, where he had gone into hiding.
A police officer said that Crime Branch Unit 8, led by Senior PI Laxmikant Salunkhe, with support from Units 9 and 10, coordinated the operation that led to the suspect’s arrest.
