Jodhpur, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major joint operation, teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), and Intelligence Bureau (IB) conducted extensive raids across Jodhpur on Friday. Authorities have detained three individuals, including a maulvi, over suspected links to a terrorist organization and an international criminal network.
According to official sources, the primary suspect, identified as Ayub, son of Ghaffar, was detained from the Chokha area of Jodhpur. Preliminary findings indicate potential connections to terror-related activities and cross-border communication networks.
Multiple Raids and Document Seizures
In addition to Chokha, the security agencies detained one person each from Pipad (Jodhpur) and Sanchore (Jalore district). Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the joint teams seized several crucial documents and materials, which are now being examined by investigators.
Maulvi Ayub Under Investigation
Sources said Maulvi Ayub, a religious instructor, was taken into custody early Friday morning after a coordinated raid at his residence in Chokha. The property has been sealed, and sensitive papers recovered from his room are under forensic review. Ayub had reportedly been teaching at a local madrasa for the past decade.
Meanwhile, Ayub’s family has rejected all allegations, asserting that he has always been active in community and religious work and has no connection to any unlawful activity.

Security agencies have launched a wider probe to uncover the suspects’ possible network and regional links. Multiple locations across Jodhpur and nearby districts are being searched, and interrogations are ongoing.
