Ranchi, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): The cyclonic storm Montha, formed over the Bay of Bengal, has brought widespread rainfall across Jharkhand, disrupting normal life and causing a noticeable drop in temperature across several districts.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the well-marked low-pressure area over central Chhattisgarh and adjoining regions has now moved north-northeastward, currently positioned over northern Chhattisgarh and nearby areas. The system is expected to continue moving towards eastern Uttar Pradesh via western Jharkhand, before gradually weakening into a low-pressure zone by Saturday (November 1).
This development is likely to bring improvement in weather conditions across Jharkhand by the weekend.
Heavy Rainfall Recorded Across Districts
Several parts of the state recorded moderate to heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours, with Sonua in West Singhbhum receiving the highest rainfall at 75 mm. Other major rainfall figures include:
