Major Breakthrough in Forest Guard Paper Leak Case: Mastermind Harish Saran Detained from Indore

Udaipur / Banswara, March 7: In a significant development in Rajasthan’s high-profile Forest Guard Recruitment Paper Leak Case, the Special Operations Group (SOG), along with Banswara Police, achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending the alleged mastermind Harish Saran alias Heeraram, a resident of Barmer, from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Authorities had previously declared a reward of ₹25,000 for information leading to Saran’s arrest.

According to officials, Saran operated an extensive network across multiple districts in Rajasthan, orchestrating the systematic leak of exam papers which compromised the integrity of the statewide recruitment process. After careful surveillance and coordinated inter-state operations, the SOG team successfully traced and detained him, marking a crucial step toward unraveling the complexities of this recruitment fraud.

Following his detention, Saran was promptly transported to Banswara, where he was presented before the local court on Friday. The court subsequently ordered him into judicial custody, reinforcing the gravity of charges against him.

This case has seen rapid progress in recent days, with a total of 11 individuals arrested so far, including six forest guards and five recruitment agents. Among the accused are three married couples, two educators, and one junior engineer (JEN), highlighting a concerning nexus between officials and intermediaries engaged in recruitment malpractice. Police have officially named a total of 15 suspects in connection with this case.

Authorities emphasized that further investigation remains ongoing, as the SOG and local police intensify their efforts to uncover additional layers of this operation, ensuring accountability and transparency in public recruitment examinations moving forward.
