Udaipur : A serious and alarming incident has been reported from the Sajjangarh Biological Park at Udaipur. One leopard was successful in escaping its enclosure and ran into the adjoining hills. The incident has created a tense situation in the surroundings. The Forest Department along with the teams of administration carried out search operations and are still doing so; however, there is no trace of the leopard yet.
The leopard has not been found yet in Sajjangarh hill and as the safety measure, the administration has suspended all tourist arrivals to the park. Workers of biological park have also been evacuated from the place as well for their protection in case a worst incident occurs.
It has been recently captured and brought to the Sajjangarh Biological Park. This escape from the enclosure raises a series of serious questions over the security arrangements of the park.
Now, local residents and tourists are living under a state of fear and anxiety. People are worried that the leopard may stray near settlements or reach another populated area. Administration is asking people to remain cautious and not take unfamiliar routes.
