Mumbai, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): Actor-director Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited film ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is creating waves across India, from South to North, emerging as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024. Released on October 2, the film continues its stellar run, setting new records at the box office each day.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film collected ₹30.50 crore on its fifth day (Monday). On earlier days, it earned ₹61.85 crore (Day 1), ₹45.4 crore (Day 2), ₹55 crore (Day 3), and ₹63 crore (Day 4). With this, its total India collection has reached ₹255.75 crore, putting it on track to enter the ₹300 crore club soon.
Not just domestically, the film is performing impressively at the global box office as well, with worldwide earnings touching ₹362.75 crore — surpassing the ₹355 crore global collection of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015) starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
Serving as a prequel to the 2022 superhit ‘Kantara’, this chapter dives deeper into folklore and mysticism, further elevating Rishab Shetty’s storytelling and direction. Critics and audiences have praised its breathtaking cinematography, cultural depth, and powerful performances, calling it a visual masterpiece.
