Jaipur, March 6 : In a major anti-corruption operation, the Jodhpur Special Unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested an engineer supervisor and a middleman while accepting a ₹5,000 bribe. The accused, identified as Rishikesh Meena, Junior Engineer in Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL), Jakhad Bapini, and his associate Kailash Prajapat, were caught red-handed during the trap operation.

According to official sources, the bribe was demanded for not filing a report on an additional transformer placed at a tube well. The ACB team has launched an investigation to uncover further details.

Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharda, stated that a victim filed a complaint with the Jodhpur Special Unit of ACB, alleging that Junior Engineer Rishikesh Meena was demanding a bribe for not recording details of an extra transformer at his tube well.
Following verification of the complaint, a trap operation was executed under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Om Prakash Chaudhary. During the operation, both Engineer Supervisor Rishikesh Meena and middleman Kailash Prajapat were caught accepting the bribe amount.
💰 Bribe Recovered from Accused’s Pocket
Upon arrest, ACB officials recovered the bribe money from the left pocket of Kailash Prajapat’s trousers. Investigations have revealed that Meena orchestrated the bribe transaction through Prajapat, who is the son of Meena’s landlord.
