Launches Project HAKK to Support Defence Veterans and Families
HDFC Bank, one of India’s leading private sector banks, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Air Force (IAF) and CSC Academy to launch Project HAKK (Hawai Anubhavi Kalyan Kendra). The initiative aims to provide essential banking and pension-related services to defence veterans, pensioners, and their families.
As part of the project, 25 service centers will be established across key Air Force units, including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Pune, Secunderabad, Guwahati, Jodhpur, and Chandigarh.

The MoU was signed by:

✔ Air Vice Marshal Updesh Sharma VSM – Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Accounts & Air Veterans), Indian Air Force
✔ Mr. Pravin Chandekar – CEO, CSC Academy
The event was attended by Air Marshal PK Ghosh AVSM, Air Officer in Charge of Administration, along with senior officials from HDFC Bank, the Indian Air Force, and CSC e-Governance.
🔹 HDFC Bank’s Commitment to the Armed Forces
Ms. Smita Bhagat, Group Head, HDFC Bank, emphasized the significance of the initiative:

HDFC Bank deeply respects the contribution of the Armed Forces towards the nation, and through these centers, we aim to offer essential banking services to ex-servicemen, as well as the families of both veterans and martyrs.”
🔹 Enhanced Services for Defence Veterans
Through Project HAKK, veterans, pensioners, and their families will have access to over 500 Government-to-Citizen (G2C) and Business-to-Citizen (B2C) services, including:
✅ Aadhaar services
✅ NPS (National Pension System)
✅ PAN Card applications
✅ Passport services
✅ Bill payments and collections
✅ SPARSH pension support
Additionally, HDFC Bank will set up dedicated service centers to assist pensioners and their next of kin with pension settlements and financial concerns.
