DHAULPUR, June 3, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested Ramesh Kumar, Junior Assistant at Gram Panchayat Ratanpur under Baseri Panchayat Samiti in Dholpur district, while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹25,000 from a complainant.
According to ACB Director General of Police Govind Gupta, a complaint was received by the ACB Dholpur unit alleging that Ramesh Kumar was demanding a bribe of ₹26,000 in exchange for issuing a muster roll under the MGNREGA scheme in Gram Panchayat Ratanpur and was harassing the complainant.
The complaint was secretly verified on June 1, 2026. During verification, the demand for a bribe of ₹25,000 by the accused was found to be clearly established.
Following verification, a trap operation was conducted on June 3 under the supervision of Bharatpur Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Om Prakash Meena. The operation was carried out by the ACB Dholpur unit under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Chand.
During the trap, the accused was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of ₹25,000. The cash was recovered from the pocket of the trousers worn by the accused.
Further investigation and legal proceedings are underway.
The action is being supervised by ACB Inspector General of Police S. Parimala. The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and will carry out further investigation in the matter.
