Udaipur, May 5, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — A case of job fraud has been reported in the Surajpol police station area, where a man was allegedly cheated of Rs 5.50 lakh on the pretext of securing a job in Kuwait.

According to the complaint, Lokesh, son of late Shankar Chaudhary and a resident of Arihant Vihar, Purohito Ki Madri, lodged a case against Pankaj Patel, son of Gautamlal Patel, a resident of Jawas Jhothri Kherwara, and his wife Kalpana Patel.
The complainant stated that his brother-in-law Himanshu Chaudhary introduced him to the accused. They claimed to arrange jobs in Kuwait and offered him employment with a salary package for Rs 2 lakh. They initially demanded Rs 1.4 lakh for processing.
On June 16, 2023, the complainant transferred Rs 1,60,458 online from his wife’s account. Later, the accused demanded an additional Rs 1.90 lakh, which he also transferred.
The complainant was sent to Kuwait on January 28, 2024. Upon arrival, his medical and other formalities were completed, after which a person demanded 600 dinars. When he contacted the accused, they assured him that the amount would be refunded after payment. He deposited 600 dinars as instructed.
However, despite taking the money, the accused failed to arrange any job. The complainant managed to return to India with difficulty. After returning, when he contacted the accused, they allegedly avoided him.
In total, the accused allegedly cheated him of Rs 5.50 lakh. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
