Islamabad, April 2 : Pakistan’s Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif has slammed Imran Khan for staging a drama of international conspiracy to save himself from no-confidence motion and urged the Prime Minister not to take any unconstitutional or undemocratic step to obstruct the democratic move. Addressing a press conference on Friday, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president said, “Your (Imran Khan) are doing so because your defeat is imminent on Sunday and you are seeing the writing on the wall.” Claimed that the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party came to power through massive rigging, he said that the joint opposition has opted a constitutional and democratic way to throw him out. Dawn quoted the opposition leader as questiong the delay in raising the issue of comm cation received from America, which was received on March 7. “Where did you spend those three weeks? You did not take the issue to the National Security Committee and waved the letter at a public meeting on March 27,” he said. He also questioned the PM for inviting the US delegation to the OIC Conference of Foreign Ministers despite having received the “threatening letter”. Earlier, Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said, “The PM is using the alleged letter to save himself; his actions are tarnishing the image of Pakistan as well as national institutions. “Why would international forces conspire against a government that has done nothing?” he asked.
