In a landmark moment for India’s defense forces, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi will fly together in the indigenous Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) today in Bengaluru, India’s Silicon Valley. This marks the first time in history that the chiefs of two military branches will take to the skies together in a single-engine, homegrown fighter jet.

The two military leaders will take off from the Yelahanka Air Base in Bengaluru, flying in the two-seater trainer version of the Tejas LCA for approximately 45 minutes. This historic event underscores the strong inter-services coordination between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Army.
