Udaipur, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — A woman has filed a case against a Hyundai car dealer in the Pratap Nagar police station area for allegedly selling a two-month-old vehicle as a new car.

According to police, Kim Purswani, a resident of Rakamapura, submitted a complaint through the court. She stated that on January 11, 2024, she booked an i20 car at Eklingnath Motors located in Madri and paid an advance of Rs 11,000. She took delivery of the vehicle on January 24.
After the purchase, she requested a copy of the insurance policy. The dealer informed her that the insurance would be arranged through Cholamandalam MS General Insurance. A few days later, she was told that the insurance had been completed.
In October, she received a message regarding renewal of the insurance policy. When she approached the company for clarification, she allegedly received evasive replies. On further inquiry, she came to know that the vehicle sold to her as new was already two months old and had previously been insured in the name of Amreen Patel.
The complainant alleged that earlier complaints to the police did not result in action. Following court directions, police have now started an investigation into the matter.
