Hobart, March 1: Australia’s captain Alyssa Healy made her final One Day International (ODI) memorable with a stunning performance against India at the Ninja Stadium in Hobart. Healy scored a remarkable 158 runs, marking her eighth ODI century.
Starting her innings cautiously, Healy took her time to settle in, reaching her half-century off 49 balls with the help of eight boundaries. After securing her fifty, she accelerated her scoring, moving from 50 to 100 in just 30 more balls. Healy completed her century in 79 balls.
She formed a 32-run partnership for the first wicket with Phoebe Litchfield, followed by a significant 104-run partnership with Georgia Wareham (62 runs) for the second wicket, and a 145-run partnership with Beth Mooney for the third wicket.
Before being bowled by Sneha Rana, Healy scored 158 runs off 98 balls, hitting 27 fours and 2 sixes. This match marked her last ODI appearance. Over her career, Healy has played 126 matches and scored 3,777 runs in 114 innings, including 8 centuries and 19 half-centuries, with a highest score of 170.
In addition to her ODI achievements, Healy has scored 489 runs in 10 Test matches and 3,054 runs in 162 T20 matches, including 1 century and 17 half-centuries, with a top score of 148.
