Kathmandu, 20 November (Udaipur Kiran)। More than six Gen Z groups in Nepal have demanded the resignation of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and warned of another uprising against the government. They have threatened to launch an “Arrest Me” campaign in the coming days.

The groups have accused the Home Minister of failing to address their demands and arresting the youth leaders who participated in the September uprising. They said the government’s actions have created tension instead of resolving the issues.
Following violence during a peaceful Gen Z event in Bara district, movement leader and ‘Hami Nepal’ founder Sudhan Gurud has warned of starting a “Arrest Me” campaign. He alleged that a group backed by UML disrupted the programme, insulted the Gen Z youth, and assaulted them. According to him, instead of taking action against the UML supporters involved in the assault, the Home Minister ordered the arrest of the peaceful protesters.
In a social media statement on Wednesday, Gurud blamed the Home Minister’s “delay and inability” for the incident, accusing him of ignoring the struggle and sacrifices of the youth. Another Gen Z leader, Raksha Bam, said that if the Home Minister cannot take action against corrupt and violent elements but continues to arrest patriotic youth, they will escalate the “Arrest Me” campaign nationwide.
Gen Z leader Miraj Dhungana warned that if attackers keep provoking them and the government remains silent, the situation could worsen like a “volcano eruption.” He called for a nationwide “Arrest Me” movement. On Wednesday, Gen Z protesters clashed with UML supporters in Bara’s Simra area while trying to stop their movement. The local administration imposed a curfew after the clash.
