Udaipur | In observance of World Blood Donor Day, GBH General Hospital, Bedwas, Udaipur, organized a special felicitation ceremony and blood donation camp on Saturday, highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.

30 Donors and 4 NGOs Honored
The day began with a formal program held prior to the blood donation drive. Thirty regular blood donors and representatives from four voluntary organizations were felicitated for their continued commitment to blood donation and public health service.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Vinay Joshi, Dean of the hospital, and Dr. Preeti Agrawal, Head of Department, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the life-saving value of voluntary blood donation. They encouraged citizens, particularly the youth, to adopt blood donation as a social responsibility.
51 Units Donated by Youth Volunteers
Following the ceremony, a blood donation camp was conducted in which 51 young volunteers came forward to donate blood. Their participation not only contributed to the hospital’s blood bank reserves but also reinforced the growing awareness among youth regarding health and community service.
Present at the event were Dr. Narendra Pipalival, Blood Bank In-Charge, and Jitendra Panchal, who ensured smooth coordination and safety during the camp.
