Tech companies are reportedly planning to tap into the world’s untapped smart ring market. Speaking of India, while BoAt has finally announced the sale date and price of its smart ring, South Korean giant Samsung is reportedly gearing up to release its new smart finger accessory.
According to Galaxy Club, the company has registered certain names as trademarks. One of them could be the official name of the smart device expected to debut next year.
The report added that the names include Galaxy Glea, Galaxy Feel and Galaxy Curio. The company previously included the Galaxy Ring. This month, the same thing happened with words like Galaxy One, Circle, Rhythm, Pulse, Insight and Index. They can be associated with loop control software and functions.
The ring software will be able to track and analyze “biometric and physiological data.” You can also store health data in the clinical consultation software. GalaxyClub suggests two options for the future of the ring: maybe multiple rings for different users, or one ring with different names in different countries.
However, the main question regarding the possible release date is still unclear. According to the news, the launch may take place in parallel with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. After that, it can be presented in stores.
The ring is said to be able to provide more accurate health data than the Galaxy Watch, thanks to its perfect fit on the finger. However, this does not apply to blood pressure measurements. Moving on to other recent updates in the smart ring market, the BoAt smart ring is expected to launch on August 28.
