Udaipur: Flipkart, India’s leading homegrown e-commerce marketplace, is driving inclusive growth with its innovative Supply Chain Operations Academy (SCOA). Established in 2021, this pioneering initiative aims to train and certify supply chain personnel for the fast-evolving e-commerce sector. SCOA delivers free, industry-relevant training to youth from underserved communities, fostering a stronger local supply chain ecosystem and empowering them with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy.
In 2024 alone, over 3,000 individuals completed training through SCOA, with 20% of participants being women, underscoring Flipkart’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The program includes a 45-day hands-on training experience at Flipkart facilities, complemented by online classroom sessions. This dual approach ensures participants gain practical operational skills aligned with industry demands.

SCOA’s outreach extends beyond youth, embracing women, persons with disabilities (eDAB), defense personnel, and members of the transgender community. By providing them with tailored skill sets, the initiative enhances their employability in the burgeoning e-commerce industry.
