
New Delhi : Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR on Thursday afternoon. The magnitude of the earthquake was 6.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, 213 km below the surface.
The earthquake was felt in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and other parts of the National Capital Region. People felt the tremors for a few seconds. There were no reports of any damage or injuries.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:6.2, Occurred on 11-01-2024, 14:50:24 IST, Lat: 36.48 & Long: 70.45, Depth: 220 Km , Location: Afghanistan,” National Center for Seismology tweeted.
