Samsung Launches Galaxy Buds On in the US for $229, Available November 6
Samsung's Galaxy Buds On will be available in the US on November 6, priced at $229.

Samsung has confirmed the release of its new Galaxy Buds On, available in the US starting November 6, priced at $229. These earbuds mark Samsung’s first foray into open-ear designs.
The Galaxy Buds On feature a clip-style design that wraps around the ear for support, allowing users to adjust the fit. Unlike traditional earbuds, they do not create a seal in the ear, enabling ambient sound awareness without the need for a separate transparency mode.
According to Samsung, the earbuds utilize a technology called Audio Leakage Reduction, which employs reversed sound waves to minimize how much music escapes. Each bud comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform and has dual 11.3mm drivers for enhanced bass response and richer sound quality.
The battery life is up to 9.5 hours for music playback, extending to 38 hours with the charging case. The earbuds are IP54 rated for water and dust resistance and include hands-free functionalities like voice commands and gesture controls.
Samsung’s design process for the Buds On drew from over 119 million data points to ensure comfort across various ear shapes. However, the earbuds lack Bluetooth multipoint support, meaning they cannot connect to multiple devices simultaneously.
“These are built for situations that demand awareness of your surroundings,” Samsung said in a statement about the Galaxy Buds On.
The company plans to release the Galaxy Buds On in Europe by early 2027 but has not provided specific dates.
