Indian Railways to Run Festival Special Trains from Jhansi, Add Sleeper Coaches on Udaipur Route
Jhansi, October 28, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Indian Railways will operate an unreserved festival special train between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi from November 5 to 8 to manage the expected rush of passengers during the festive season. The Railways will also increase the number of sleeper coaches on special trains connecting Khajuraho with Udaipur City and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
The unreserved special train will operate three trips in each direction, providing additional travel options for passengers during the festive period.
Train Timings Between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Jhansi
Train No. 04412, Hazrat Nizamuddin–Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Unreserved Festival Special, will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 6:50 pm on November 5, 6 and 7. It will reach Jhansi at 6 am the following day.
The train will stop at Faridabad, Palwal, Rundhi, Hodal, Kosi Kalan, Chhata, Mathura Junction, Farah, Raja Ki Mandi, Agra Cantt, Jajau, Dholpur, Morena, Gwalior, Dabra, Sonagir and Datia.
In the return direction, Train No. 04411, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi–Hazrat Nizamuddin Special, will depart from Jhansi at 6:30 am on November 6, 7 and 8. It will arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4 pm on the same day.
The return service will stop at Datia, Sonagir, Dabra, Gwalior, Morena, Dholpur, Jajau, Agra Cantt, Raja Ki Mandi, Farah, Mathura Junction, Chhata, Kosi Kalan, Hodal, Rundhi, Palwal and Faridabad.
Unreserved Special to Have 16 Coaches
The festival special will have 16 coaches, including 14 general second-class coaches and two SLR coaches.
Divisional Public Relations Officer Manoj Kumar Singh said additional staff would also be deployed at automatic ticket vending machines to help passengers purchase unreserved tickets during the festive rush.
Sleeper Coaches Increased on Khajuraho–Udaipur Train
The Railways has also decided to revise the coach composition of the Khajuraho–Udaipur City–Khajuraho Special trains (04141/04142).
On Train No. 04141, departing from Khajuraho, the number of sleeper coaches will increase from five to seven on scheduled dates between October 29 and November 19. On Train No. 04142, departing from Udaipur City, the change will apply on scheduled dates between October 30 and November 20.
With the additional sleeper coaches, the total number of coaches on these trains will increase from 18 to 20.
Coach Composition Changed on Khajuraho–Hazrat Nizamuddin Train
The coach composition of the Khajuraho–Hazrat Nizamuddin–Khajuraho Special trains (01913/01914) will also be revised.
On the Khajuraho-originating service, the changes will apply on scheduled dates from October 28 to November 18. For the service departing from Hazrat Nizamuddin, the revised composition will apply on scheduled dates from October 29 to November 19.
The number of general-class coaches will be reduced from 12 to 10, while sleeper coaches will increase from five to seven. The train will have a total of 20 coaches.
These arrangements are intended to accommodate additional passenger traffic and improve travel convenience during the festive season. Passengers are advised to check the official railway channels for the applicable dates and timings before travelling.
