Jaipur, November 1 (Udaipur Kiran): A powerful message of unity and patriotism resonated through the streets of Jaipur on Friday as Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP Rajeev Sharma) joined police personnel, students, and citizens in the ‘Run for Unity’ to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
With the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’, DGP Sharma personally led the run, keeping pace with hundreds of participants. The event showcased an inspiring display of solidarity, national pride, and commitment to India’s unity and integrity.
The unity run began from Gandhi Circle, passing through Birla Mandir, Rambagh, and Ambedkar Circle, and concluded at the Amar Jawan Jyoti, where the air echoed with chants celebrating the nation’s unity and strength.
The primary aim of the run was to promote awareness and a sense of pride among citizens regarding India’s unity, integrity, and security. The sight of enthusiastic police officers and youth running together symbolized collective commitment and became a source of inspiration for the entire city.
Unity Pledge at Police Headquarters
Following the successful completion of the run, a special pledge ceremony was held at the Police Headquarters, where DGP Rajeev Sharma administered the National Unity Oath to all officers and staff.
Senior officials, including ADGPs Hawa Singh Ghumaria, Biju George Joseph, Rupinder Singh, Bhupendra Sahu, B.L. Meena, and IG Prafull Kumar, along with other police headquarters personnel, attended the ceremony.
All officers took a collective pledge to uphold the sovereignty, integrity, and spirit of brotherhood in the nation.
