According to Delhi Police sources, the red vehicle under investigation is registered to Umar — the same individual suspected of driving the Hyundai i20 car that exploded near the metro station. CCTV footage reportedly shows Umar driving the i20 prior to the blast.

Investigators have traced the vehicle’s registration to an address in Delhi, and multiple police teams are conducting raids to locate the car. Delhi Police have issued a high alert, deploying five special teams dedicated to tracking down the vehicle.

All police stations, check posts, and border units in the national capital have been alerted, while Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Police have also been informed to assist in locating the car.

Earlier, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) formed a 10-member special team to probe the Red Fort blast. The team, headed by ADG Vijay Sakhaare, includes one Inspector General (IG), two Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), three Superintendents of Police (SPs), and several DSP-level officers.

The explosion occurred near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro Station, where a car parked on the roadside suddenly blew up, killing 10 people and injuring several others.

Police sources revealed that investigators are reviewing over 1,000 CCTV footage clips from nearby areas. Preliminary findings suggest the blast may have been a suicide attack aimed at causing maximum casualties.

Security and intelligence agencies are also monitoring social media activity and have begun collecting mobile dump data from multiple locations across Delhi. Meanwhile, high alerts have been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with enhanced security at crowded public places and religious sites.
